Day 20 - Transportation (Roads, Waterways, Aviation and Railways)

This sector is one which corruption holds sway as monies meant for roads construction and maintenance, railways, waterways and the aviation industry are embezzled and no one is held accountable. In view of poor management occasioned by corruption, travelers by road and air are subjected to untold hardship and danger; goods can barely be ferried from one point to another while the waterways are in comatose. This no doubt has affected the economy, health and safety of Nigerians, national security, etc.

• Thank God for some successes recorded in our air, road and railway transportations so far under this administration.

• Pray God to expose and judge corrupt government officials who embezzle funds meant for building and maintenance of roads, railways etc. Pray that their corruption should no longer be hidden and that the flying scroll of the Lord's judgment visit their homes unless they repent, (Zech. 5: 1-4, Jer. 17:11).

• Pray God's excellent Spirit to manifest upon government officials, institutions and all private sector companies that are involved in road, airports, waterways and railways construction and maintenance.

• Pray God to enable our lawmakers enact laws that will bring sanity on our roads, aviation industry, railways and waterways.

• Pray for peace, safety and security upon our transportation networks.

• Ask the Lord to visit the touts, public transport drivers and NURTW officials to bring them to a saving knowledge of Him. Pray the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to reach out to them.

• Ask God to raise godly men like Joseph to manage this sector with wisdom, knowledge, understanding, integrity, etc and transform it to a place that glorifies God and makes Nigerians proud.
