Day 09 - Legislature

• Ask the Lord to expose and judge legislators who are corrupt and who collect bribes to pass bills into laws. Let the Lord visit such people with disgrace and imprisonment and judge them with His flying scroll (Zech 5:1-4, Jer. 17:11).

• Pray the Holy Spirit to brood over our Legislative Houses to convict our legislators of sins and cause them to make righteous laws (Prov. 16:12)

• Pray to the Lord to raise godly princes who know what to do, who hate covetousness, love the truth and fear God to take over our various legislative houses. Also pray the Lord to give this new breed of legislators His seven Spirits (Exo. 18:21; Isa. 11:2; Dan. 6:3).

• Pray that through enactment of righteous laws, Nigeria becomes an orderly nation. Also pray that the Legislature complements and cooperates with the executive without compromising their legislative roles

• Pray that national interest remains the bedrock of our legislation and not ethnic or religious interests.
